MUSICAL THEATRE COMPANY 10-12
Prerequisite: Theatre 9 recommended
On Broadway, a “triple threat” is any performer who excels in all three theatrical disciplines: acting, singing, and dance! NO, you do not need to be a ‘triple threat’ to be in Musical Theatre as it is a form of theatre that has something for everyone! In this course students will develop an appreciation and understanding of what’s involved in making a great Musical Theatre production. This course is open to any grade 10-12 student who is willing to commit to all rehearsal in and out of school time. Students who enrol will receive credit for the appropriate grade level.

Art is alive at ACSS! Students can choose from Art Studio (Art Foundations), Drawing and Painting, and Sculpture (including Ceramics). The art room is a fully equipped studio space, which includes two full-size kilns, hand-building tools, and pottery wheels for ceramics, a large selection of drawing and painting medium, as well as supplies for sculpture and printmaking.

Our ACSS photography program is film-based. Students learn how to use photo chemicals and equipment to produce black and white images in the darkroom. In this project-based course, students will learn how to operate a camera using manual settings, as well as strategies for creating great photos.
