WE HAVE SOLD OUT OF ALL OUT-OF-DISTRICT STUDENT SEATS FOR THE AP EXAMS AT ACSS
Aldergrove Community Secondary is pleased to offer courses in the Advanced Placement (AP) Program and is a testing site for AP students across the lower mainland. AP is a program of enrichment and acceleration that allows motivated students to begin their university studies while in secondary school. Upon successful completion of an AP course, students will have an opportunity to write the AP exam. Depending on the exam result, students may have the option to receive credit for a first-year university course.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR VISITING STUDENTS WRITING THE AP EXAMS AT ACSS:
This May, Aldergrove Community Secondary School will once again be hosting AP Exams to students from other schools and districts.
The cost is $185.00 (Cdn funds) per exam until October 30th, 2020.
After October 30th, 2020 there is an additional $85 late fee. The cost is $270.00 (Cdn funds) per exam and can be ordered up to March 5, 2021.
Once you have paid the registration fee, if you do not show up for the exam or cancel the exam, there is an $85 fee per exam that will NOT BE REFUNDED from the total.
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
STEP 1: Pay your student fees
Exam fees can be made online at https://sd35.schoolcashonline.com/. Create an account, and search for Aldergrove Community Secondary AP Exams. Make sure to sign up for the correct exam at the correct site. Payment of AP exam fees does not guarantee you a spot in the May exams. Due to space limitations, failure to register for the exam on the College Board website by the exam order deadline of October 30th exam order deadline may cause your exam order to be cancelled and refunded.
STEP 2: Proof of Payment
Email Ms. Caines, our AP coordinator at kcaines@sd35.bc.ca proof of payment (a screenshot is fine) and she will send you the join code for the exam you have registered for. Be sure to include your full name, phone number, and titles of exam(s) you have paid for. You must immediately sign up for the exam upon receiving this code.
STEP 3: Sign up for your exam
Sign up with the AP College Board at https://myap.collegeboard.org/login and create an account. Once you have created your account, you will click the join a course or exam button and enter the correct join code that corresponds with the exam you intend to take. WE CANNOT ORDER AN EXAM FOR YOU IF YOU DO NOT SIGN UP FOR IT.
STEP 4: Write your exam
NOTE: YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A REMINDER EMAIL ABOUT YOUR EXAM DATE. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BE AT ALDERGROVE AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR EXAM TIME.
Please bring a piece of government issued photo ID to the exam (e.g. Driver’s License, Passport, Certificate of Canadian citizenship, or Permanent Resident Card). IF YOU DO NOT BRING THIS TO THE EXAM, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO WRITE IT. Review the guidelines for “what to bring on exam day” at myap.collegeboard.org
